The EDGE Sport Track Club Distance program welcomes youth athletes seeking high-quality coaching in a dynamic, supportive, and challenging training environment. Our program builds fitness, develops speed and endurance, and prepares athletes to excel at school and club meets. Alongside physical training, we emphasize mental toughness and discipline - essential qualities for lasting success both on and off the track.
Why choose THE EDGE SPORT TRACK CLUB?
The EDGE Sport Track Club is an Athletics Ontario and Athletics Canada affiliated club which allows our athletes to compete at sanctioned track & cross country meets.
We differentiate ourselves from other clubs in the region by hiring professional coaches that have the skills and expertise to guide youth athletes. Our coaches have experience racing at the University Varsity level right up to the World Championships and Olympic Games. These unique experiences have shaped our views and philosophy on how to best help youth athletes achieve their individual goals.
At Edge, we believe in long-term athlete development – helping every child reach their full potential as high-school athletes, and beyond. That’s why athletes in our development groups (elementary & intermediate) train and compete under a fundamentally different model than many “elite” or competition intensive clubs that chase medals at a young age.
Our performance group (U14+) is focused on supporting the competitive pathway for runners with an interest in pursuing track and cross country at the highest level. We have a proven track record of delivering results. Since 2022 our athletes have achieved a number of impressive performances and accomplishments that help set us apart as a National leading program for distance runners at the U14 to U20 level:
- OFSAA Medalists: 12
- OFSAA Champions: 4
- National U18/U20 Medalists: 6
- National U18/U20 Champions: 3
- Provincial U12 & U18 Cross Country Team Champions: 3
- National U18 Cross Country Team Champions: 1
- National U18 Record Holders: 3
- World Athletics Championships Team Members: 2
- NCAA Division 1 scholarships: 9
Our most notable athlete to date is Brody Clark. During his time with us he won 4 OFSAA Gold medals, a U20 National Championship and broke 3 National U18 records in the 1500m, 1 mile and 3000m events. He was also Canada's top performer at the 2026 World Athletics U20 Cross Country Championships and will now be attending Wake Forest University on a full scholarship. His personal best times include 3:43 (1500m) and 8:09 (3000m).
Our track club runs year round and is broken down into 4 seasonal training blocks (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter). Each block is 3 months in duration, offering 12 weeks of training sessions. Pricing is based on the number of sessions attended per week as follows:
1 session per week - $180.00 + HST
